The Sam “Sis” Chheong Memorial Roll-A-Thon
is a community Brazilian Jiu Jitsu event honoring the life and legacy of Sam “Sis” Chhoeng.
Sam was a combat veteran, Purple Heart recipient, federal agent, firearms instructor, BJJ black belt, and elite competitor whose life reflected discipline, humility, and service.
Sam embodied competitive excellence and a deep commitment to others. He was a teammate, mentor, and brother to many. His leadership helped shape the Hero Down Foundation and the mission it carries forward today. This event continues that legacy.
The Roll-A-Thon takes place at Fenix Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Woburn, Sam’s home academy. Law enforcement officers, military veterans, BJJ practitioners, and supporters will come together for a day of training, connection, and purpose on the mat.
This event reflects Sam’s belief that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu builds readiness, resilience, and character. Training develops physical skill and mental discipline while creating strong communities built on shared struggle, humility, and growth.
All proceeds from the event support the Hero Down Blue and Green Team Programs, which provide training opportunities for those who serve and have served.
Blue Team – Law Enforcement Readiness
Sponsors law enforcement officers into high-level training environments such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and performance shooting to refine critical skills, strengthen decision-making under pressure, and improve operational readiness.
Green Team – Veteran Performance & Community
Provides military veterans with opportunities to remain engaged through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, competitive shooting, and tactical training platforms that preserve skills, restore purpose, and strengthen peer networks.
Our goal on March 15 is clear:
Raise $5,000 to launch the Hero Down Blue and Green Team Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Scholarship Program for law enforcement officers and military veterans.
Every contribution helps place someone back on the mat, back in training, and back in a strong community.

Memorial Hoodie
The memorial hoodie represents discipline, resilience, and service.
The back design features a shield with Sam’s initials, SC, and XXI-III-MMXXIV marking his date of extraction. Beneath the emblem is the Latin phrase:
Pro Fratre Meo. Legatum Eius Proferimus

The front features the HDF mark of the Hero Down Foundation and MMXXI.

The Memorial Tee honors a warrior, mentor, and fierce competitor.
The front features Sam’s silhouette. The back features Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Hero Down, and the words:

One hundred percent of proceeds support the Hero Down Blue and Green Team Program, providing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training scholarships for law enforcement and military veterans.
